What Are Private Label Rights?

PLR is a type of license where authors give-away or sell most or all of their rights to their work. This usually means you can to change the product, sell it, resell it, claim authorship etc.

There are many types of PLR products:
  • PLR articles,
  • PLR emails,
  • eBooks,
  • PLR video,
  • PLR audio,
  • graphic templates,
  • software.

See below for more information on this license.

Private Label Rights

Private Label Rights content for the most part gives the buyer the most liberty, nearly like making your own product (in comparison to other licenses, like Master Resell Rights or Resell Rights (RR)). Excluding copyrights you can do almost everything with Private Label Rights products: claim authorship, modify it, sell it, resell it, change formats (from text to audio or vice versa). And if you change the product substantially you are able to claim copyright.

Make Money With PLR

There are many uses for PLR products. We have listed just a few of the most common ones.

Web site or weblog content
You can use PLR on your website or blog as posts. Do remember though that if you want to receive any benefit for SEO, you should not use them out of the box. Take a few minutes and rewrite them in your words. This makes the post unique and you’ll be positioned better in search engines.
You can monetize the site with AdSense, affiliate offers or just flip it for profit on Flippa.com or similar sites.

Publish articles to article directories
You can also rework the Private Label Rights articles you bought and post them to article directories for backlinks and traffic. Don’t forget to check the terms of use of each article directory as some don’t allow reworked Private Label Rights articles.

Create an audio or video product
If the license allows you, one of the best things to do is to change the format of the PLR. As an example, read a few articles on your topic and package them as an audio file. You can then give it away or sell it. One more option is to create a screencast. Just run your preferred presentation software, write a few slides and then post it to video websites. You can do this without charge through TubeMogul.
For recording screencast videos you can use Camtasia (paid) or CamStudio (free).
